As a resident assistant, you will be responsible for providing hands-on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment. General Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a designated group of residents during the shift, knowing where residents are and physically checking on them throughout the shift.
  • Observe, report, and document symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
  • Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly.
  • Notify supervisor if a resident has increased care needs.
  • Assist with continence management and dispose of all continence products properly to ensure sanitation of resident suite and community restrooms.
  • Serve and collect food trays and assist as needed, reporting refusal of meals or loss of appetite.
  • Assist residents during a fire emergency to a secured fire-safe area.
  • Complete resident laundry as assigned and needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms and work areas.
  • Practice good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
  • Help residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident.
  • Participate/lead and assist residents with activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.
  • Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
  • Greet and assist external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members if needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations required:
    • Nurse's Aide certification a plus.
    • Must be 18 years of age.
    • Must complete a background check.
