Geospatial Systems Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Systems Administrator to join our team at Maxar Technologies. As a Geospatial Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for deploying, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise geospatial systems, including databases, tools, and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and maintain enterprise geospatial systems, including databases, tools, and applications
  • Support maintenance of user accounts and access across the enterprise
  • Maintain and optimize cloud architecture
  • Assist in security accreditation process

Requirements:

  • US Citizen with active/current TS/SCI security clearance with required Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, etc. 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Experience as a Systems Administrator to include account creation and monitoring and system architecture backup and recover plans

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with geospatial tools and applications including Google Earth and the ESRI stack
  • Familiarity with Geospatial Databases
  • Experience with the Sponsor's Security Accreditation Process
  • Knowledge of cloud migration approaches and patterns
  • Experience with AWS cloud services or cloud native application development processes
  • Experience deploying and maintaining services in the cloud
  • Familiarity with geospatial tools and applications
  • Shell scripting
