Avionics Technician Job Description

STS Aviation Services is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and repairing components of aircraft instrument, electrical, and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair avionics systems to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operation.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Perform maintenance on CRJ and A320 aircraft, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with airlines or MROs.
  • Knowledge of maintenance manuals, FARs, and FAA regulations.
  • Ability to use tools, gauges, and instruments for aircraft maintenance.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; an Airframe & Powerplant license is a plus.
  • Experience with CRJ and/or A320 aircraft is highly desirable.
  • Must meet qualifications for obtaining a SIDA badge.
