Exciting Neuropsychology Position in Illinois
Located in Kankakee, IL
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in regular staffing meetings and case evaluations.
- Serve as a consultant to medical staff regarding the appropriateness and methods of psychological assessments.
- Oversee and mentor psychology interns from accredited institutions during their clinical training.
- Develop and coordinate educational initiatives for Rehabilitation Unit personnel, other hospital departments, and the local community in collaboration with the Rehab Unit Manager.
- Identify, design, and implement psychological services tailored to the operational needs of the 4th Rehabilitation Unit.
- Conduct psychological assessments and provide consultative services for inpatients and other psychiatric evaluations as requested by attending physicians.
- Offer individual therapy sessions for patients upon physician referral.
Qualifications:
PhD in Clinical Psychology or a professional doctorate with certification as a registered psychologist (capable of independent practice). Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation environment is preferred, along with supervised clinical exposure to various treatment methods. A minimum of 2 years of experience in diverse treatment modalities and 2 years of supervised training in psychological testing, including neuropsychological and personality assessments is required.
