Job Overview

The Doubletree Schenectady, NY is seeking a skilled Restaurant and Banquet Server to provide exceptional service to our guests. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering a seamless dining experience, ensuring accuracy in order placement, and maintaining a clean and organized restaurant and banquet area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take food and drink orders in a timely manner and ensure accuracy in order placement
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests, presenting dishes in an aesthetically pleasing manner
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, providing exceptional customer service
  • Set up and break down tables, chairs, and other equipment necessary for service
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of restaurant and banquet areas
  • Collaborate with other servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to provide a seamless dining experience
  • Follow all cash handling procedures and accurately process payments from guests
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED required; some college or relevant hospitality education preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume restaurant or banquet setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menu items and service techniques
  • Professional and team-oriented attitude
