As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and diagnostic assessment of various agricultural machinery, vehicles, and equipment. Your strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues will be essential in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of farm operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct routine maintenance on agricultural machinery such as tractors, combines, and irrigation systems.
- Identify and rectify mechanical issues in vehicles and equipment.
- Replace worn or defective components, including belts, hoses, and filters.
- Inspection and Diagnostics:
- Perform regular inspections of machinery to detect potential problems early.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to ascertain the root causes of mechanical failures.
- Formulate and execute repair strategies for identified issues.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all tasks are completed in line with safety regulations and company protocols.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, adhering to safety and environmental standards.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Customer Interaction:
- Engage with farm managers to understand equipment challenges and provide expert recommendations.

- Monitor and manage the inventory of parts and supplies to ensure readiness.
- Procure replacement parts as necessary, fostering relationships with suppliers.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work alongside fellow mechanics and farm personnel to coordinate repair schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior mechanics or farm staff as required.
