Nutritionist Lead

Job Summary: East Bay Community Action Program is seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist Lead to provide expert nutrition guidance to parents/guardians of children who receive level 5 special formula orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform critical nutritional risk assessments for those applying for program benefits, while providing nutritional counseling and follow-up for enrollees on individual caseload.
• Collaborate with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program team to ensure compliance with WIC certification procedures.
• Develop and implement effective nutrition education programs for enrollees.
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in food and nutrition, community nutrition, public health nutrition, nutrition education, human nutrition, or nutrition science from an accredited four-year institution.
• Proven experience in nutrition counseling and education.
• Strong knowledge of WIC certification procedures and nutritional risk assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
