Job Summary:

We are seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join our team in Battle Creek, MI. The schedule is as needed to work during the clinic hours Monday - Friday, 7:00a - 5:30p.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
  • Conduct nursing assessments, provide treatment within scope of practice, and collaborate with physicians as needed.
  • Identify equipment needs, perform occupational and health screening tests, and document patient information accurately.
  • Administer medications and medical treatments competently, maintain medical records, and ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Participate in follow-up phone calls and patient visits, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associates' degree (A.S.) is required. Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred.
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required.
  • Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.

Preferred Experience:

  • At least three years experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
  • Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
