Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a PHP/IOP setting for adolescents. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct services, including evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, and education to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and manage clients through direct care encounters, including prescription and management of medication, order and interpretation of labs, and education to clients and families.
- Update treatment plans weekly and complete timely documentation according to established standards.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Assist with patient admissions, including initial evaluations and initial assessment documentation.
- Provide collateral/liaison contact to patient families and outpatient providers.
- Complete discharge recommendation assessments as part of collaborative discharge summaries.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Virginia and licensed for Independent Practice Authority.
- A minimum of two years' experience working with adolescents in a residential environment, with a total of 5 years' practice experience as an NP strongly preferred.
