Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at ESPO Corporation. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for performing complex engineering tasks and leading the design, procurement, installation, and operation of I&C equipment and devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop control systems and instrumentation specifications, location plans, equipment/instrument schedules, datasheets, and other drawings and documents required for procurement and construction purposes.
  • Prepare and check specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate activities and deliverables with group leads and other engineers and designers within the I&C discipline on the project.
  • Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level engineers working on the same project.
  • Interface with other engineers, Engineering disciplines, as well as other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Program and configure controls system equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials, including reviewing supplier drawing submittals and performing technical bid analyses.
  • Support the commissioning and installation of field equipment, ensuring timely and successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering (or related field) and typically 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Professional Engineer registration is not required but is desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and electrical engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
