Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs to aid in the diagnosis of disease and study of organ function.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations to assess organ function and detect abnormalities
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities to enhance patient care and department efficiency
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques to provide optimal patient care
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Two years of experience in radiologic/imaging, with a focus on ultrasound
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license (for ARRT-certified professionals)
  • Knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Preferred: Chest pain and Stroke education
