Job Title: Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Logistics Specialist to join MedStar Montgomery Medical Center.

About the Role:

This position involves transporting patients safely, efficiently, and with courtesy throughout the medical center via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to patients, visitors, and hospital staff, ensuring seamless transportation and logistical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients, their personal belongings, medical records, and clinical devices between various hospital locations, including discharging patients from the hospital entrance.
  • Ensure patient safety during transport and comfort by being attentive, offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in conversation.
  • Assist with lifting, positioning, and transferring patients between examination tables, operative tables, wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
  • Perform positive patient identification, ensuring that patients have hospital identification bands corresponding with their name and date of birth.
  • Maintain transportation equipment and report any damage or defects.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $22.08 per hour.
