Position Title: Pet Care Technician
Reports to: General Manager
As a Pet Care Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our canine guests. This position is centered around providing exceptional care and maintaining a clean environment for our furry companions. A passion for dogs is essential, as you will be actively involved in their daily activities, including bathing, cleaning, and supervising playtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to pet owners and their dogs.
- Utilize downtime effectively to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Monitor the health and safety of dogs in daycare and boarding.
- Collaborate closely with management to fulfill resort operations.
- Ensure all accommodations and outdoor spaces are sanitized and well-maintained.
- Conduct body checks to identify any pre-existing conditions or injuries.
- Perform various tasks as directed by the General Manager/Owner, including:
- Transporting dogs to and from daycare or boarding.
- Providing personal playtime for dogs.
- Taking dogs outside for elimination breaks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and adapt to new software quickly.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of the K9 Resorts Certification Program for Pet Care Technicians.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Availability for some weekend and holiday shifts.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in computer usage, particularly Microsoft Windows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- High moral and ethical standards.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and problem-solving abilities.
- Outgoing and enthusiastic personality with a love for dogs.
