Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Associate and Occupational Health Professional to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Aid with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Perform select clinical duties, including completing the Return to Work authorization checklist and process for associates returning from a leave of absence, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Fulfill basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Perform basic materials management functions, including ordering and stocking of supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required, with American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required, with note that required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
