Physician Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Specialist to join our team at Zuckerberg San Francisco General. As a Physician Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating patient signs and symptoms, reviewing laboratory and radiological data, and diagnosing complex cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluates patient signs and symptoms, reviews laboratory and radiological data, and diagnoses complex cases.
- Institutes treatments as appropriate and may serve as a consultant to other physicians.
- Examines, diagnoses, and treats pediatric patients, and refers to other physicians, clinics, and agencies when necessary.
- Provides obstetrical and gynecological care, including screening, diagnosis, treatment, prenatal, and obstetrical care.
- Conducts pre-employment physical examinations of candidates for city service and assesses medical or physical competence of staff to perform assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California.
- Successful completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association in the appropriate medical specialty area.
- Ability to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and/or other federal health care programs.
- Possession of a National Provider Identifier (NPI) and a valid third-party billable provider certification.
Working Conditions:
Positions may be available in a variety of settings, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, Laguna Honda Hospital, and community-centered outpatient clinics within the Health Network.
