Job Opportunity

Pride Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in Eminence, KY. This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages, ensuring patient comfort and safety during the collection process, and adhering to standardized procedures for waived testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and completion of requisition forms.
  • Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
  • Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal.
  • Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Phlebotomist.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
