Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. As a key member of our educational staffing agency, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to provide one-on-one or group support to students with special needs in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and instructional activities under the guidance of the special education teacher.
  • Provide support to students with daily tasks, including personal care, communication, and mobility.
  • Collaborate with the teacher and other professionals to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and behavior.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students' academic and social growth.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
