Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited school of radiologic technology, be registered as a Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and have current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.

The role requires standing and walking for extended periods of time, lifting or assisting with lifting patients of varying weight, and manipulating equipment daily.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general radiology exams, portable exams, and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Address equipment malfunctions, notify management, and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
  • Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor, and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

Physical Requirements:

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
