Procurement Agent

Job Summary

The City of Tallahassee is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Agent to join our team in the Procurement Services department. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with city policies and procedures, and building strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the city's needs
• Manage the procurement process, including soliciting bids, evaluating proposals, and awarding contracts
• Ensure compliance with city policies, procedures, and regulations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders
• Provide excellent customer service to city departments and employees

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing, public administration, business administration, or a related field
• Seven years of relevant professional purchasing experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Possession of one of the following credentials: Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), NIGP Certified Procurement Professional (CPO), or Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Valid Class-E State driver's license

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $19.0433 to $51.6756/hourly, with a hiring rate generally not exceeding $34.0180/hour. The City of Tallahassee offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
