Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at MT SAN RAFAEL HOSPITAL. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer physical therapy modalities, such as exercise, massage, and heat or cold therapy, to patients
- Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities
- Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aide
- Participate in operational aspects and quality improvement processes of the department
- Participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs
- Current State Physical Therapy Licensure
- Basic computer skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of physical therapy machine operation, maintenance, and repairs
- Orthopedic and Manual Therapy experience preferred
- Three (3) or more years of previous experience in physical therapy practice
- Current BLS (CPR) Certification
- Continuous movement throughout the hospital
- Continuous standing (up to 7 hours)
- Intermittent bending, kneeling, and squatting
- Ability to lift up to 30% of your body weight
- Ability to read and understand English
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact with patients, families, and staff in a professional manner in stressful situations
- Ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
- Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations
