Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop AI frameworks for gameplay and character interactions.
  • Work in conjunction with game design, animation, and programming teams to ensure smooth integration of AI solutions.
  • Implement NPC behavior systems into gameplay.
  • Enhance AI systems for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and apply enhancements as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in AI technology and tools.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI systems and tools.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior AI engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in game development, particularly in AI systems.
  • Proficiency in C++, with familiarity in additional programming languages such as C#, Python, and Lua.
  • Thorough understanding of behavior trees and gameplay mechanics.
  • Experience with animation technology and motion matching.
  • Strong grasp of 3D mathematics and algebra.
  • Knowledge of vehicle AI, pathfinding, and NPC behaviors.
  • Familiarity with networking and multiplayer gaming.
  • Experience with PC and console platforms.
