About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Caraday Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. You will also be required to provide emotional support and engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and perform nail care for assigned residents
  • Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse
  • Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
  • Answer call lights in a timely manner
  • Assist or feed residents
  • Keep residents clean and dry by providing toileting or incontinent care
  • Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
Requirements

To be considered for this rewarding role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
  • Ability to understand, remember, and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
  • Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
Physical Requirements

You will need to be able to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.

Work Schedule and Environment

This is a full-time position with a varied schedule, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays. The work environment is clinical, and you will be working directly with residents in a nursing home setting.
