We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in the Ortho/Trauma unit. This role involves working the night shift from 19:00 to 07:00.
Unit Details:
- **Unit Name:** Ortho/Trauma North Suburban MC
- **Unit Number:** 62029
- **Location:** 4th floor
- **Number of Beds:** 27
- **Staffing:** 6 RNs and a charge nurse during peak hours
Patient Care:
- **Patient Ratios:** Approximately 5:1
- **Equipment Used:** Remote telemetry, EMR MediTech
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following skills:
- Ability to interpret telemetry strips
- Experience in post-operative orthopedic care
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following skills will enhance your application:
- Trauma care experience
- Familiarity with post-operative cardiac catheterization procedures
Typical Procedures:
- Management of post-operative surgical patients
- Administration of cardiac drips including amiodarone and diltiazem
- Monitoring of heparin drips
