Job Description

Deliver interoffice mail and supplies between multiple work sites, ensuring timely and efficient communication and logistics within the organization.

As a key member of our team, you will transport patients to scheduled appointments related to their care, providing a vital service to our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive, load, and unload vans safely and efficiently.
  2. Operate a scheduled pickup and delivery route, as well as additional locations as needed.
  3. Adhere to traffic laws and established traffic and transportation procedures, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
  4. Regularly inspect vans and equipment to ensure proper working condition.
  5. Ensure vans are adequately fueled and cleaned, and report any mechanical issues to the Director of Patient Services or designee.
  6. Utilize professional communication methods and techniques, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  7. Accurately document mileage and related expenses for vehicle use.
  8. Monitor annual inspection and registration renewals, notifying the supervisor at least two weeks in advance of expiration.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions.
  • Excellent oral communication skills for conveying information and instructing others, with a strong customer service focus.
  • Display a professional business attitude with a pleasant demeanor, while working in a customer service-oriented organization.
  • Incorporate CHCFC values, principles, and mission statement into daily activities.

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, squat, and kneel. The employee must be able to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The work may require some evening work hours as well as the ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate periods of extreme activity.
