Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for achieving daily production targets and ensuring the manufacturing process runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise operations to achieve optimum output
  • Provide and organize training and training manuals for the production team
  • Lead by example: set expectations for staff and monitor delegated activities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards
  • Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals
  • Improve efficiency
  • Ensure the flow of raw materials and other resources
  • Provide reports on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Ensure production capacity is optimized
  • Monitor and report on project and production resource requirements
  • Ensure Quality Targets are met
  • Ensure the production staff are properly trained on production record keeping, production processes and procedures, and writing and updating SOPs, Work Instructions, Forms, and other Quality Management Systems
  • Ensure compliance of quality standards and policies
  • Function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help resolve customer complaints, internal non-conformances, and Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Ensure Bill of Materials are accurate in company's ERP systems
  • Establish and drive reductions in usage rates of consumables and scrap rates based on vendor issues
  • Participate in the tech transfer of fully developed products from PD to production
  • Allocate resources for use by PD as needed
  • Other Responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or relevant field, or a minimum of 2 years of additional relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs
