Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Harborview Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Job Summary:Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, Lead Technologist, Radiologist, or other Physician, you will perform skilled radiographic procedures that assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients. You will also provide education to patients and their families prior to and post Radiology procedure and exercise responsible judgment in recognizing and reporting significant situations relating to patient care.
Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic radiographic exams as assigned by Lead or Supervisor, transferring and positioning patients as well as providing immobilization.
- Operate radiographic equipment, select proper technical factors, and provide devices as required.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff, technologists, researchers, and students to the Radiology department.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked working environment.
- May be assigned Lead responsibilities in their absence or when requested.
- Assure appropriate utilization of Radiation Protection prescribed by safety standards.
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and eligible for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Registered as an X-Ray Technician by the State of Washington.
- Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist.
