ROLE SUMMARY

Regal Marine Industries is in search of a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Cost Analyst. In this capacity, you will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to excellence by assisting in financial analysis, cost management, and financial planning within our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Data Analysis:
  1. Support the collection, organization, and analysis of financial data pertinent to manufacturing operations.
  2. Employ financial analysis tools, including Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  3. Utilize fundamental accounting principles to evaluate costs, revenues, and profitability.
  • Cost Management Support:
  1. Examine manufacturing expenditures and identify cost drivers.
  2. Assist in the execution of cost-reduction strategies and initiatives.
  3. Engage in budgeting, variance analysis, and cost allocation processes.
  4. Support inventory balance monitoring and reporting.
  • Financial Performance Monitoring:
  1. Track the financial performance of manufacturing processes, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) across Regal departments.
  2. Gain insights into financial reporting and performance metrics.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting Assistance:
  1. Contribute to forecasting and budgeting efforts to comprehend demand forecasting methods, production budgeting, and resource allocation.
  2. Develop financial forecasts, monitor budget variances, and adjust forecasts in response to changing conditions.
  • Continuous Improvement in Financial Processes:
  1. Participate in initiatives aimed at optimizing financial processes within manufacturing operations.
  2. Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows, enhance data accuracy, and improve financial controls.
  • Communication and Financial Reporting:
  1. Enhance communication skills through regular reporting on financial performance to supervisors and stakeholders.
  2. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  2. Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial modeling and analysis tools is advantageous.
  4. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  5. Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  6. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Conversational proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with accounting software.
  2. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or business intelligence tools like Microsoft Power BI.
  3. Internship or coursework related to financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting principles.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office setting and routinely utilizes standard equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands:
