Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. As an independent contractor, you will also have the opportunity to take advantage of tax write-offs and flexible scheduling.

Job Responsibilities

As a Virtual Speech Language Pathologist, you will utilize technology to create impactful virtual learning experiences for students in Illinois. You will work from home with a schedule that fits your lifestyle and make a meaningful impact on students' lives through virtual therapy services.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, fulfilling Illinois' educational requirements.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Illinois State Licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice as a speech-language pathologist.
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology required to work in Illinois schools.
  • Two years of experience working as a speech-language pathologist in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred.
Qualifications
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and administrators.
  • Ability to pass a tech screening to ensure Wi-Fi, download speeds, and Zoom capabilities meet the required standards.
