Job Title: Registered Nurse, Neonatal ICU

Position Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in our Neonatal ICU, you will be accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for critically ill newborns and their families. Your expertise will be essential in providing holistic and individualized care, developing and implementing plans of care, and fostering collaborative relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and coordinate patient care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers through timely and effective communication
  • Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • RN-Registered Nurse licensure for the state where care is provided
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices
  • Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment:

  • Per Diem/Casual schedule
  • Nights shift
  • Variable days of the week
  • Rotating weekends

This position may regularly work with hazardous drugs identified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.

Pay Range is $68.66 to $89.93 / hour

Compensation takes into account several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs.

Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
