CNC Machinist

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Specialist to join our team at Jasper Engines & Transmissions. As a CNC Specialist, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to ensure optimal functionality and quality production.

• Develop and implement processes for programming parts, loading parts, and operating controls to ensure quality production.
• Study and interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
• Detect equipment malfunctions and adjust machines as required to ensure quality production.
• Communicate with supervisors, engineers, and other shop personnel to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area and performing basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.

• Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
• Intermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications, including geometric tolerances and dimensions.
• Ability to handle frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Basic math skills, including multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra.
• Demonstrates knowledge of G and M code programming and Renishaw probe programming.
