Job Summary

The Spa Therapist is a key member of our team at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and providing a high level of service in our spa facilities. As a Spa Therapist, you will be working closely with our spa team to ensure that our guests receive the best possible treatment and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service and ensure that all guests receive a high level of service and attention to detail.
  • Perform treatments on guests while maintaining their comfort and well-being at all times.
  • Be on time for appointments and thoroughly review appointments after completing each treatment.
  • Keep work areas clean and neat at all times and follow all standards and procedures as taught by legendary trainers or therapy managers.
  • Assist in the operations of all spa departments as required, including front desk, spa retail area, relaxation area, sluice area, sales and marketing, spa suites, and cabanas.
  • Report dysfunctional equipment to the Spa Director and maintain inventory of supplies for the operations of the treatment rooms.
  • Attend daily line-ups, weekly and monthly spa meetings, and assist and perform various demonstrations and events.
  • Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as laid down by the Spa Director and attend all training courses as deemed necessary.
  • Have the ability to courteously interact and answer all spa and hotel-related questions with guests and perform all treatments to the highest standards.
  • Assist in all areas of the spa as and when necessary, including relaxation area and reception, and recognize the importance of sales in every aspect of their role and be responsible for achieving sales targets as set by the Spa Director.
  • Be adaptable and accountable for all actions, arrive 15 minutes before the start of your shift to allow sufficient time to prepare for your workday, and perform as a professional with a friendly business attitude and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Spa Director.
  • Maintain current professional licenses and perform weekly spa cleaning duties (intense cleaning of the spa).
