Responsibilities:

  • Perform vital signs and medical history assessments.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses and trauma.
  • Refer patients to the clinical director for conditions beyond the scope of practice.
  • Manage chronic health problems.
  • Prescribe medications and administer immunizations.
  • Provide counseling and guidance to patients.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and X-rays.
  • Perform physical exams.

Requirements:

  • NC License
  • DEA certification
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • NP/PA Certification

Work Environment:

This is an outpatient position in a correctional facility setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar environment and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
