The Lube Technician role offers a competitive pay scale that includes a base hourly rate ranging from $16.00 to $17.00.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Lube Technician, your primary duties will include:
- Executing tasks as specified on repair orders with precision and efficiency, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Draining and refilling engine oil to the required levels.
- Replacing oil and air filters as needed.
- Checking and replenishing vehicle fluid levels.
- Monitoring tire pressure and inflating tires as necessary.
- Applying lubricants to moving components as specified.
- Coordinating with the parts department to secure necessary components.
- Assessing vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
- Communicating promptly with service advisors regarding any additional work required or changes in the service timeline.
- Documenting all performed and recommended services on the repair order.
- Participating in training programs and staying updated on technical bulletins from manufacturers.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions to the Service Manager.
- Ensuring that customer vehicles are maintained in clean condition.
- Maintaining accountability for dealership tools and manuals, ensuring they are returned in proper condition.
- Complying with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Utilizing all tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Wearing appropriate safety gear at all times.
- Keeping the work area organized and safe.
- Exhibiting a professional appearance and adhering to uniform policies.
- Following instructions from supervisors and adhering to workplace rules.
- Fostering a positive work environment through effective interaction with colleagues.
Compensation: $16.00 to $17.00 per Hour
