Staff Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Electrical Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a Staff Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing electrical engineering services to our Plate Mill department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all phases of assigned area electrical engineering projects from concept to project closure.
  • Lead and participate in problem-solving efforts with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance, and production.
  • Analyze process issues using PI Vision and Data Link to provide input to solve process problems.
  • Create and develop electrical control solutions to support process improvements and improve equipment reliability.
  • Assist production and maintenance with equipment and process issues.
  • Redesign and upgrade existing processes, including PLC/HMI and controls.
  • Install and troubleshoot camera systems on industrial equipment.
  • Mentor employees to increase their knowledge of equipment and process, when needed.

Requirements:

  • Project management experience is a must for this role.
  • 50/50% Project management and production maintenance support.
  • Manufacturing & PLC experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as an electrical engineer.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Off-hours support may be required as needed.
