Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Care Services team as an Enterostomal Therapy Nurse. This is a full-time position working days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' current health status through the application of clinical knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care for patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulae, incontinence, and pressure ulcers.
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care and treatment.
  • Provide pre-op and post-op instruction to patients and their families regarding ostomy management.
  • Participate in discharge planning and identify level of discharge needs.
  • Serve as a resource to nursing staff, administration, medical staff, and other healthcare disciplines in the area of wound and ostomy care.
  • Plan and implement educational programs for patients, families, nursing staff, healthcare professionals, and the community.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes and implement changes to improve work environment, work processes, and patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School/College of Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in nursing, actively practicing.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the state of hire.
  • Current BLS CPR certification.
  • Completion of CWON and/or CWS certification within 3 years of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN/Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Recommended 2 or more years' experience providing wound and/or ostomy care in a medical setting.
  • Dual licensure in Ohio and Michigan.
  • Preferred completion of CWON and/or CWS certification.
