Job Title: Construction Estimator

At Crossland Heavy Contractors Inc, we are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for construction projects.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with experience in heavy civil estimating, specifically in water/sewer treatment plants. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and estimates for construction projects.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to gather project information.
  • Analyze past costs to understand labor production and equipment needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Enter labor, material, equipment, and project overhead costs into our estimating software.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in heavy civil estimating, including experience with water/sewer treatment plants.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, On-screen, and Agtek software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The salary for this position is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
