Key Responsibilities:

  • The Enterprise Architect will proactively and comprehensively lead and support enterprise architecture activities that guide the development and management of a diverse portfolio of solutions. This includes projects, systems (applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services.
  • The architect will possess a deep understanding of business objectives, capabilities, value streams, and processes, ensuring that all technology solutions align with these critical business needs.

Core Activities:

The Enterprise Architect will demonstrate expertise across the following dimensions:

Business Needs Interpretation:

  • Convert business and technical requirements into a coherent architectural framework that achieves business goals.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to maintain a robust architectural foundation that supports future business needs.
  • Assess current and future business capabilities to determine corresponding enterprise solution designs.

Technology Assessment:

  • Evaluate the existing solution portfolio to identify technological deficiencies and misalignments with business requirements.
  • Provide guidance on product lifecycle decisions, including maintenance, refresh, or retirement of services and systems.
  • Stay informed on emerging technology trends and their potential impact on business operations.

Technology Application:

  • Lead the design and analysis for implementing solutions architecture across various business applications and technologies.
  • Develop a roadmap for transitioning the enterprise solution portfolio from its current state to a desired future state.
  • Work collaboratively with project management offices to ensure alignment between execution plans and project deliverables.

Enterprise Guidance:

  • Deliver standard definitions, reference models, and architectural designs to support governance and compliance.
  • Foster a community of practice, guiding agile teams and product owners in aligning with enterprise architecture standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in multiple IT solution development disciplines.
  • Familiarity with diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
  • Strong understanding of strategic technology trends and their application to evolving business models.
  • Experience in developing architecture blueprints and delivering presentations to technical and executive audiences.
