Position Overview

GovCIO is seeking a highly experienced SharePoint Developer to take on a crucial role in assessing Microsoft's SharePoint platform aimed at enhancing pension plan data management (PPDM) workflows for PBGC.

This remote role encompasses:

  • Analyzing prior evaluations and gaining insights into the technology stack and PPDM specifications
  • Collaborating with Microsoft to evaluate available Document Management solutions and cloud offerings
  • Performing market analysis and working alongside experts to gather insights for SharePoint development
  • Establishing the PPDM Proof of Concept (PoC) environment and evaluating selected technologies
  • Assisting in the formulation of Use Cases to assess the viability of technologies
  • Developing detailed requirements documentation to support the modernization of PPDM
  • Engaging with project managers and stakeholders throughout the PoC initiative

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with over 8 years of experience in SharePoint

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • At least 8 years of experience as a SharePoint Developer with a focus on document management
  • Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics, MS SharePoint, and Azure DevOps
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in conducting market research and engaging with vendors
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment
  • Public Trust acquisition and maintenance experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Certification in SharePoint development
  • Experience with PPDM or comparable projects
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies such as Kofax and artificial intelligence
  • Understanding of government document management regulations
  • Experience in Power Apps development
  • Knowledge of alternative process engines
