Career Opportunity:

As a Maintenance Technician at WestRock, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial processing equipment and production machinery. This includes installing, repairing, and maintaining all equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance according to our company's PM system and manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and maintain motors, conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
  • Repair and maintain rolling stock and facilities.
  • Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
  • Maintain parts and tool inventory.
  • Safely operate rolling stock, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize tasks and minimize downtime.
  • Actively participate in plant safety programs and committees.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience.
  • Capable of operating hand, power, and specialty tools.
  • Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
