Job Title: IR Tech

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an IR Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Assist in scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity
  • Demonstrate knowledge of radiation protection standards and techniques
  • Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as an IR Tech
  • BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Vascular Interventional certificate preferred

As an IR Tech, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. You must also have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional Requirements:

  • ARRT, BLS, ARRT (VI), 2 Years

Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
