Our premier financial services organization is in search of a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python and Spark to join their finance and regulatory division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The Senior Software Engineer delivers application software development services or technical assistance in moderately complex scenarios.
  • May also engage in requirements gathering and the preparation of Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and System Requirement Documents (SRD).
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Reviews the Test Plan and Test Data.
  • Develops new programs of moderate complexity and scope, adhering to basic application system designs and specifications, while utilizing the organization's standard development methodologies, procedures, and techniques.
  • Designs and codes applications, creates test transactions, and executes tests to identify errors and refine programs.
  • Prepares final and detailed versions of system modification requirements, ensuring timely and accurate turnovers.
  • Collaborates with architects to design, code, test, and implement application programs.
  • Analyzes organizational needs and objectives for the development and implementation of application systems.
  • Proposes innovative and creative technological solutions.
  • Contributes to the success of related teams' objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience in software development within the securities or financial services sector is advantageous, with a thorough understanding of the software development cycle.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Familiarity with Spark.
  • Experience with CI/CD DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of PySpark.
  • Understanding of Microservice Architecture.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining the pay rate. The pay range provided reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that could result in compensation outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, and other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
