Job Overview

TechPro Power Group is seeking a seasoned Principal Electrical Engineer to lead our project delivery team within the industrial and utility sector. As the Engineer of Record, you will be responsible for deploying innovative solutions to our clients, collaborating with business development, and assisting with commissioning. This role requires strong project coordination skills, with a focus on delivering complex electrical systems projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project delivery teams to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
  • Collaborate with business development to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals.
  • Analyze project requirements and develop detailed engineering designs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Assist with commissioning and start-up activities for completed projects.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of generator step-up transformers, station service transformers, unit substations, low-voltage switchgear, medium-voltage switchgear, low-voltage motor control centers, medium-voltage control centers, and 125VDC battery systems.
  • Experience with emergency and standby generators.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing projects up to $500k+ CAPEX.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk 2D, Microsoft Office, and ETAP/SKM software.
  • ABET-accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Fundamentals in Engineering (F.E.) and Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenses.
