Job Overview

As a skilled Overhead Lineman at Infratech Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, physical stamina, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground residential distribution power lines and auxiliary infrastructure and equipment.
  • Work at heights, using climbers and safety belts, or operating man lift equipment, bucket trucks, or other specialized equipment.
  • Route or re-route power lines over, under, or around existing lines and structures, working above, on, or in close proximity to energized lines.
  • Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed, and make emergency repairs, phases, and connects circuits under load.
  • Inspect lines, poles, and equipment for signs of damage or wear and report deficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 90 days of employment.
  • First aid certification, competency in CPR, and pole top rescue within the first 6 months of employment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform the Essential Duties and understand and follow both written and verbal instructions in English.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • The ability to transfer 100 lbs. a distance of 12 feet with the help of another person.
  • The ability to work outdoors in diverse environments.
  • The ability to ascend and descend ladders, poles, and other elevating structures.
