We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team providing palliative care services to pediatric patients at a nationally ranked children's hospital. The successful candidate will provide psychological evaluations, consultations, and short-term treatment to children and adolescents with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for pediatric patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide consultations to medical teams on treating complex medical problems, including pain management and difficult conversations with families.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds to ensure comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement short-term treatment plans for palliative care patients.
- Supervise trainees from psychology and psychiatry programs.
- Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to multidisciplinary research initiatives.
- PhD or PsyD in Psychology with an APA-approved internship in clinical child or pediatric psychology.
- At least one training program must be APA-approved.
- Fellowship-level training in pediatric psychology, including evaluation and treatment of children with complex medical needs, is preferred.
- Training in palliative care and chronic/acute pain management is also preferred.
