Job Summary

Visteon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Architect to lead the development of innovative hardware solutions for our digital cockpit and electrification products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-quality product designs and driving future-state hardware technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Architecture: Develop and implement hardware architecture solutions that meet product and customer requirements, including managing platform-level hardware architecture decisions.
  • Product Roadmap Execution: Execute product roadmaps that reflect organizational, market, and customer demands, including hardware system specifications and requirements.
  • Design Leadership: Lead design activities at the product and component level, working with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party suppliers.
  • Customer Interface: Interface directly with customers to gather intelligence and facilitate technical presentations.
  • Innovation and Reliability: Develop innovative and reliable solutions that meet customer requirements, defining component-level tests to meet customer needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams, including customer and advanced engineering teams, to ensure aligned solutions.
  • Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor lower-level architects to develop skills in quoting, designing, and delivering successful products.
  • Technical Publishing: Publish technical papers and journals in conferences and publications.
  • RFQ Process: Review customer RFQs, generate compliance matrices, evaluate technical feasibility, and support quote creation.

  • Cost Optimization: Support project cost optimization effectively, monitoring expenditures and ensuring initiatives are delivered within budgetary constraints.
  • Technical Innovation: Measure the introduction and successful implementation of technologies or solutions that contribute to the organization's competitiveness and market leadership.
  • Quality and Performance Metrics: Track the quality and performance of products or systems, meeting or exceeding established technical and functional specifications.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Measure customer satisfaction with Visteon products, services, or projects, reflecting the success of meeting customer needs.
Qualification, Experience, and Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in the automotive domain, with the last 5 years focusing on ADAS, CoC, Infotainment, or similar at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth experience in bringing electronics from concept to mass production, in-depth knowledge of power electronics system analysis, including electric, mechanical, and thermal.
  • Software Knowledge: Solid exposure to software knowledge, including applications requirements, functional safety, CAN messages, flashing software, and Vector tools.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong experience in interacting with internal stakeholders and external customers, direct customer experience in both sales and delivery phases.
