Job Title: Interventional Vascular Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Cleveland Clinic's Mercy Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Vascular Technologist to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers to provide world-class patient care.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Vascular Technologist to support the most cutting-edge therapies offered at Cleveland Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and experience working in a high-volume angiography department.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams.
  • Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects.
  • Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information.
  • Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and effects timely repair.
  • Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing.
  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certification in cardiovascular-interventional radiography or vascular-interventional radiology.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume angiography department.
