Job Summary:

Access Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Mission Viejo, California. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to nuclear medicine, including imaging procedures, patient care, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scans
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and ensure proper dosing and safety protocols
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers
  • Provide patient care and education, including explaining procedures and results to patients and families
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
