Job Summary

PeopleReady is seeking a Sanitation Worker to join our team in Endicott, NY. As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for collecting and disposing of solid waste and recyclables in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ride on the back of a garbage or recycling collection truck and collect solid waste on a designated route
  • Direct the driver when pulling out in traffic and backing up, and direct incoming vehicles to the dumping area at solid waste disposal facilities
  • Check the operating and safety conditions of vehicles, perform minor servicing, and report needed repairs or servicing
  • Assist the driver with various tasks during waste runs
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of work routines and procedures in collecting solid waste materials for disposal, reuse, and recycling
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, and able to carry, reach, bend, push, pull, and climb
  • Flexibility to work in all weather conditions

Pay Rate: $15 - $15 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
