Landfill Laborer

A Laborer is responsible for performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill.

Responsibilities may include yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance, and other related duties.

• Clean up work areas and maintain a safe and organized workspace
• Fuel vehicles and equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pick-up trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work
• Install temporary wind fences, as required, and direct traffic at the site as necessary
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
