Assembler (Assembler Trainee) Job Summary

FAAC International, a leading provider of automated systems, is seeking an experienced or inexperienced Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling parts and subassemblies, adhering to blueprints and schematics, and ensuring quality work within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and part lists
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying supervisors
  • Maintain equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, and placing orders
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment (will consider and train the right candidate)
  • Ability to read and understand diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
  • Ability to install components, units, or subassemblies using power tools and related assembly equipment
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods and lift 30-50 pounds
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and requirements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a teamwork environment
